The Wireless Broadband Solution

eVIB.net is pleased to be able to offer Wireless broadband in partnership with Wi-Fi-Net

To deliver the high-speed Internet connection to local users Wi-Fi-Net use radio technology. The technology used is a point to multi-point solution allowing many individual users to access one Access Point (AP), and share the available bandwidth of the backhaul. The radio system used is referred to as WiFi. It is a standard, whose frequencies and power levels are regulated by the Radio Communications Agency. The maximum output power levels are 100mW, which is much less than the average power output of mobile phones, and mobile phone masts.

Back haul: 2 way satellite data link or ADSL phone line. Down speed 1M or 2Meg. Up speeds 256K or 512K

Central Access Point: Meshbox using WiFi (802.11b/g) technology. Average range 400/500m radial coverage from the access point.

End-user Access Point: Extra equipment required is 1x PCI (desktop) or PCMCIA (laptop) or USB 802.11b/g wireless network card. An external aerial may be required depending on line of site and distance from the end-user and the access point.

Wireless Mesh: The wireless Mesh is created by positioning Meshboxes in line of site and range of each other. They forward and route encrypted traffic from end-users to the Internet broadband access point.

Advantages: Telephone line independent. Flexible PC location and laptop use, not cable dependent, 24/7, no data transfer capping.
